[pic 1]

Task

LS-ES = Total Slack

Min ES’s f successors-EF = Free Slack

A

0-0=0

Min{4;4}-4=0

B

2-0=2

Min{3;3}-3=0

C

10-4=6

5-5=0

D

4-4=0

9-9=0

E

5-3=2

9-7=2

F

6-3=3

4-4=0

G

9-9=0

12-12=0

H

7-4=3

12-9=3

I

11-5=6

13-7=6

J

12-12=0

13-13=0

  1. In this case, the estimated finishing time is 12.5 instead of 13 days and the critical path does change, becoming task B, task E, task G and task J.

Question 2:

TBC: 480

Cumulative PV :

PV1 : 130

PV2 : 230

PV3 : 320

Cumulative EV:

EV1 : 30% x 70 + 40% x 190 = 21 + 76 = 97

EV2 : 100% x 70 + 10% x 90 + 100% x 190 = 70 + 9 + 190 = 269

EV3 : 100% x 70 + 10% x 90 + 100% x 190 + 40% x 65 = 295

Cumulative AC :

AC1 : 70

AC2 : 205

AC3 : 255

SPI1: EV1/AC1 = 97/70 = 1.386

SPI2: EV2/AC2 = 269/205 = 1.312

SPI3: EV3/AC3 = 295/255 = 1.157

CPI1: EV1/PV1 = 97/130 = 0.746

CPI2 :EV2/PV2 = 269/230 = 1.169

CPI3 : EV3/PV3 = 295/320 = 0.922

To conclude, we are under budget and behind schedule on weeks 1 and 3.

Before Leveling: Expected finish date is Wednesday 3rd of May 2017.

[pic 2]
