Airbus vs boeing

In this essay, I'm going to talk about Airbus and Boeing similarities and contrasts. First of all, Airbus and boeing are two multinational corporation that design and sell aircrafts worldwide. These two companies are the biggest aircraft companies in the world surpassing Embraer and Bombardier. Both companies are big and important in the aircraft industry, but which one is really the best for a pilot?

I'm going to start by showing the similarities in these two companies. The first similarity is that they are both well known companies for their aircraft safety and their large number of aircraft models. Another similarity is the fact that they are both designing new aircrafts every year, that save up to 50 % fuel which saves our planet. Imagine a plane that used to use 200 tonnes of fuel, but now only uses 100 tones, how great is that! Both companies have the only two "jumbo jets" on earth which are the boeing 747 and airbus a380, they are both 2 level aircrafts. A bigger similarity is that these two companies are retiring their aircrafts during 2020-2022 which is really weird, it's like they'er the same company. Then there is another similarity which is the two transportation aircrafts, the Boeing Dream Lifter and the Airbus Beluga. These two planes are huge aircrafts that are designed to fit airplane parts or huge cargo.

Then I'll continue by talking about the contrasts between these two companies. The first and most obvious one is that boeing is an American company (from USA), boeing also make their aircrafts in the USA while Airbus is an european company from from different european countries and aircraft parts are made in england, germany, Netherland and France, all these parts are transported to France and assembled there. The second, less known contrast is that airbus and boeing don't share the same controls. Boeing aircrafts have the yokes in the front of the pilots to control the plane while Airbus has side sticks that control the plane. They are both controls but have different abilities and are placed in different places. The third and last contrasts I'm going to talk about is the planes technology. Boeing planes are aircrafts that are designed to be used manually by pilots and doesn't have a lot of technology fitted devices. On the other hand, Airbus has a lot of technology devices and is designed with easier and newer devices that help pilots in case of an emergency or of a problem in the plane.

Finally, to conclude, Airbus and Boeing are two huge companies whit similarities and contrasts and each person could like a company more than another. I prefer Airbus because of it's large number of aircrafts and because its aircraft design is unique, they have long, short, big and small aircrafts. This is why i like and prefer Airbus over Boeing although Boeing is the number 1 in the world today.
