I chose the subject: Gun control in USA

Sandy Hook. Charleston. Roseburg. And now, Flagstaff. This is the horrific list of gun violence, which does not stop to grow in America.

Just one week after the killing of another American campus that killed nine people, a killer shot one guy and injured three other people in a university of Arizona.

This terrible event rekindles the debate about gun control in the USA.

The USA holds the world record in the number of firearms per habitant and the highest rate of shot dead of developed countries.  However, all these statistics do not allow lowering the number of weapons in the United States by limiting access to weapons.

From my point of view, Barack Obama, President of the United States, is right. They have to deal with this issue. And his position on it is clear. It results by a plan that consists of 23 executive actions and three presidential memoranda. We must also remember that it is a well-known fact that after comparing the statistics, the number of Americans killed by gun violence and the number of Americans killed by terrorism is not even close. In a recent 10-year period, guns killed more than 112 times as many American citizens as terrorists did. There can be no doubt that America needs to react quickly to solve this big issue. Of course, this implies big changes in American’s life but not everyone seems to be ready to go further and change things.
