The financial crash of 2008 has impacted the economy of many countries. Some of them have been more shaken than the others. This is the case of the UK where the crisis has gravely affected the Education sector. The previously affordable tuition fees have become nine times more expensive in 2010. this change has caused brusque reactions. Especially among students who have protested with a first march in 2010 and a second, which was more important in 2014 in London.
It is to the second that we will be interested
How can we interpret this second march of November 2014 ?
This march has brought together 10,000 students who wanted free education. This big number shows the success of this event. 70 percent of students can not pay tuition fees. They are forced to take loans that are hardly repayable. This march is therefore a means of expressing their dissatisfaction with this situation. Through this march, all the youth were mobilized. It is a means of showing the unity of the British youth.
Moreover, through the incidents one should not see this youth as aggressive but rather like a strong youth, concerned about its future, who says no to the system. Its a youth who defends the art, science, literature, freedom
To finish we can say that this march for free Education can also be seen like a march of freedom.To defend this student freedom, the British educational system should be rethought. One could bring concrete solutions as did Barack Obama in the United State
