Topic: Why is mental health important, and how can we work to improve it?

As many people don’t know, mental health can be more serious that what we think. After many studies, people have realized that mental health can have so many consequences in your general health. That’s why mental health is considered as vital part of health even as important as physical health.

Mental state can affect in different ways the life of a person like in social life or even physical health depending on the disorder.  Starting with a simple example, stress. This mental disorder is a natural reflex of the human body, but it can have a lot of consequence in your life depending on his level. It can affect health care by gaining or losing weight, getting skin problems like acne and dermatitis, or having headaches. In addition, it can affect your social life by isolating the person of everyone, having difficulty with being focus and having a low tolerance when it comes to difficult life situations. As we can see, mental health could be more complex than what we think.

In a way to improve our mental health, we can practice any sport we choose. Stress, depression, sleeping difficulties or anxiety are most of the common mental disorders that we can experience. Those can be easily improved with the practice of these activities. Sports that included a high level of physical activity can be beneficial for mental health by producing hormones like dopamine, most known as the hormone of love and happiness. This hormone will help to research a state of good feeling and slowly help you with other symptoms. From the other side, some people prefer activities with a low level of physical activity like yoga. This kind of passive activities help to connect with your soul and provide you a relax feeling by producing dopamine hormones and having a spiritual approach with themselves. In case of serious problems like paranoic, bipolarity or other mental disorders, we can always contact special help like a psychologist. They can provide you a guide to get better. Therapy and medicine will help the person with this life’s difficulties.

To conclude, we can see that mental health is more important than we can expect. A bad state of mental health can have many consequences affecting different aspect of your life like social and physical health. However, there is always a way to improve it like practicing any sport we like or looking for special help.
