The company offers tailor-made bearings to meet exactly the project’s specifications and satisfy the customer, 85% of its production is exported to Europe, North America, Asia and Africa from South. ***is today a recognized reference for the quality of its products and distinguished by multiple certifications.
*** is the global supplier of products and solutions to the markets of bearings, services, sealing solutions, mechatronics and lubrication systems. **** offer includes technical support, maintenance, conditional maintenance and training.
They have production sites in more than 28 countries and sales companies in 70 countries. Thanks to a sales network of more than 15 000 points of sale spread across more than 130 countries, they are always close to their customers. It also has an extensive e-commerce platform and a worldwide network of distributors and authorized resellers.
This company is located in **** in *****, 10 Km from my house.
I was assigned to the supply chain service, my tutor and *****.
- My activities
My schedule was from Monday to Friday from 8:30 am to 12 noon and from 1:30 to 5 pm.
During my internship I carried out the following activities:
- Creation of supplier performance indicator.
- Sending emails to suppliers (English and French).
- Creation of a file under subcontracting.
- Entry in the PGI of the receipts of order.
- Participating in daily meetings.

Creation of supplier performance indicator:
Objective: To identify the delivery, purchase and quality performance of certain suppliers by setting up quantitative and qualitative indicators.
Medium available: a computer with Excel, the ERP of the company and the files needed to set up the indicator.
I encountered the following problem: To establish the quality and purchase indicators, it was necessary to wait for the buyers and the quality manager to transmit the necessary data.
The solution provided: access to the files of the purchasing and quality services to avoid being on hold
Contribution for the company: This allowed seeing the suppliers who are not very efficient in terms of delivery, purchase and quality. The work will then be presented as a slide show and sent to suppliers every quarter, specifying their position in terms of purchase, quality and delivery compared to other suppliers.
Sending emails to suppliers (English and French):
The objective: ask the supplier for the delivery times of the components.
Average available: A computer with a mailbox, coordinated supplier.
