• How did you find your job placement?

I found my job with an offer on the Indeed website. They accepted my candidacy, I had an job interview and after they hired me.

• What is/are their activity(ies) ? Can you explain?

I work at Inria (Institut National de Recherche en Informatique et en Automatique).

I'm in the legal affair’s department.

The Legal Affairs Department (DAJ) provides advice, expertise and assistance on all the legal aspects of the company's life. It must ensure the proper application of regulations in administrative law, company law, contract law, business law, etc.

• Do they often hire trainees (stagiaires) ? Why do they take trainees?

I am the first trainee in the legal department.

There are others in the company.

The company takes trainees to be educated in order to hire them at the end of their training.

• Is this company doing well or is it suffering crisis?

The company is not in a crisis.

• What do the employees say about their company? Do they want to leave or stay?

Employees enjoy working at Inria.

They complain that there is a lot of work, but the environment is pleasant.

The working conditions are also comfortable.

The employees want to stay.

• Did you notice any recent organizational changes? (pandemic crisis/lockdown/ material work’s condition)?

Some people have Covid as a result of the pandemic.

• How did they adapt?

Teleworking has been put in place.

We were given computers for our home, as well as microphones and headphones for the meetings.

• Do work placement give you opportunities to put theory into practice?

Work placements are an opportunity to put theory into practice for certain disciplines.

For example, I do contract law but not criminal law.

It helps to understand certain notions in certain disciplines but not in others.

• Do you think you could learn the job without going to University? Would you like to work in the company which hired you as a trainee?

I think I can learn the job without going to university, but I would be missing some essential notions to understand everything.

After my training I would like to work in the company where I am now working as a trainee.

• What is your best/worst memory during your training period?

My worst memory, when I was working in a law firm last year on a work placement.

Sometimes records are sad.

My worst memory was when children were placed in foster care. Their father was violent with them and their mother.

the mom had committed suicide so the kids were in a children's home.
