Which UK or US university would you like to go to ? Why ?

I would like to go to Harvard because it’s one of the best universities in the world,

both in terms of physical sciences or mathematics and I would like to major in these

subjects. What’s more, as Harvard is part of the Ivy League, a group of top American

universities, this makes it a very prestigious university. This university offers a very

good tuition, it’s renowned worldwide and it’s a big positive point on a resume.

Furthermore, as many politicians, great entrepreneurs or engineers like Barack

Obama, Mark Zuckerberg and Bill Gates have graduated from Harvard, this makes it

a potentially privileged place to develop my social network through fellow students.

However, tuition fees are high, $40,000 on average, but some students obtain

scholarships, especially international students like me. Harvard is located a few

kilometers from Boston, consequently, students can spend their free time to explore

the city and go shopping.

Besides, Harvard offers an excellent supervision rate, with one teacher for 8 to 10

students, what’s more, there’s a lot of choice and freedom in courses, with a great

multidisciplinarity leading to original studies, and it’s a positive point if I want to

change my major during the year. After the pre-registration, comes the time of the shopping week, a week during which students make their market among the 900 courses offered, the huge 2-hectare campus includes 90 libraries, numerous museums, sports facilities, laboratories and research centres in all fields

Finally, although these are years of hard work, studying at Harvard would be a

rewarding experience and would allow me to integrate well into the world of work.
