Going abroad is going to change you. Studying abroad may be one of the most beneficial experiences for a college student. You are going to make incredible memories and go through unique experiences that you might not have otherwise. By studying abroad, you have the opportunity to study in a foreign nation and learn more about its traditions, culture, and people.
I am so fortunate to have had the experience to study abroad in Japan, because it was a life changing experience. Every day was a new adventure that was completely different from my life at home.
Going into the semester, I really had no idea what I was getting myself into, and I was not sure of my decision. But let me tell you that the only thing I regret now is the hesitation I had about signing up !
The environment was completely different from anything I had ever experienced, which is why I loved it so much. However, I had to adapt myself to, it made me a little scared, but everyone from Japan was understanding and welcoming.
Being immersed in a such a unique culture very different from the European, it was probably the hardest thing I have ever done but the best.Thanks to it I have grown through my experiences abroad.
During my experience, I develop beautiful relationships with people that were very generous. Troughout the trip they freely took me to some of their favorite places and help me with the language, that was not common. I left Japan, with some of my actual best friends and that is what made my experience so amazing .
While I was there I studied sciences of mans, at Mie University, the History of the japanese World, and was tutored for Japanese. It allowed me to discover a hidden courage and autonomy that I never thought I possessed. It was a challenging experience that I hope for everyone.
People often ask me what my favorite memory from abroad was, but that is so hard to answer because there are so many ! Attend the Chinese New Year, bathe us in natural sources and clim the mount Fuji are at the top of my “favorites list”.
