ENGLISH ORAL PRESENTATION
Hello, my name is Claire and today I will present you my project about going abroad and studying.
Going abroad is discovering a country, people, culture and different mindsets. I think that there is nothing more rewarding than travelling and seeing what is happening elsewhere. This enables students to open up their mind and enrich professionally aswell as personally.
So, if I had to travel someowhere in the world for a few months, I would go to Australia.
It is quite a big country, situated in the Pacific ocean, it is near New Zeland.
I have chosen Australia because I already have been overthere twice and I found that there was a fairly young population. I think it is very important to live with young students who come from all over the world ! It enables us to make new friends who have diferents ways of living and working...
This remote destination, at the other side of the world has always attracted me.
Australia is plenty of exotic places like for exemple the Bush, where the landscape is totally amazing. By going to Australia I would discover another style of life, and it would permit me to visit more countries that are located in the Pacific ocean. If one day I have the chance to travel on myself overthere, I would love to help the inhabitants of the Bush because in Australia they are kind of considered as second class citizens. They are quite poor and they're living conditions are horrible. I would love to bring them something new, to share my culture, to discover they're way of life and they're habbits.
I would travel with the association called « EF ». The principle is to study but next to that I would love to do a little road trip with my new friends I would have make over there.
It would be great to go overthere for one year. Indeed, I would first study for 6 months and then, I would visit some great places.
I would take a gap year before my first master. I think it could be a great year, a kind of pause. I would prefer to live on a campus with other students. In Australia lots of students come from India, Germany, Brazil... wich is pretty cool because we would all be from differents places...
I would learn more and improve my english, I would surely be more fluent and maybe I would learn other langages by working with new foreign students on the campus.
