The 13 February 2008 , Kevin Rudd , the prime minister of Australia delivered a speech to present the escuses of the government at the " Stolen Generation" of Aboriginal people of Australia.
From the years 80s ,the state has gradually become aware of the injustice has afflicted at this people.
In April 1997 , the report « Bring them home " explains how the metis children of the aboriginal community had was taken to their parents and being placed in homes of whites families .In 1998 , the « National Sorry Day » was established on May 26 to recognize the harm done to the families and turn a new page on those horrible years considered at a genocide of aboriginal people.
« I have appeased my heart and I feel issue a weight that was haunting me since of many years. This speech was not repaired the suffering of my familly have lived but we hugely touches and feels recognized » entrust Nataa Tjangalaa, an Aboriginal woman who was kidnapped as it familly to the age of 7 with his two little sisters . The figures tell us that all the aboriginal family was touched by these abductions on several generations.The suffering it was huge on families : the violance of separation , often the child was raped in whites homes, the impact of have not family grows . At our day, many aboriginal still suffers from what they have lived and unable to socialize with the actual society.
"We say sorry" is the sentence that Kevin Rudd has not stopped saying in his speech to present the official escuses of the government to the mothers , the fathers , the brothers and sisters for believing separate assets do well for them because the government think that growing up in a white family or with white people would make them better person .
