Hello, today we're going to tell you about Buckingham Palace.

Buckingham Palace is where the British royal family lives. It's in London and it's not just a home , it's also where they do important things. Did you know that Buckingham Palace has 775 rooms, including 19 state rooms, 52 royal and guest bedrooms, 188 staff bedrooms, 92 offices, and 78 bathrooms? Each year, over 50,000 guests are invited to banquets, lunches, dinners, receptions, and garden parties at the palace. The palace is like a big house for the royal family. They use it for family events and ceremonies.

Buckingham Palace was built in the early 18th century as a private residence for the Duke of Buckingham. In 1761, King George III bought it to make it the private residence of Queen Charlotte. Since then, it has become the official residence of the British monarchy.

The palace looks really big from the outside. It has big columns and lots of decorations on the walls. There's also a famous balcony where the royal family greets to people during special events. Fun fact: The balcony has been used by the royal family for public appearances since the reign of Queen Victoria.

People from all over the world come to see Buckingham Palace because it's a symbol of the British royal family and their history. It's like a living museum that tells the story of England's kings and queens. Inside, visitors can see beautiful rooms filled with paintings, furniture, and other treasures. If you're lucky enough to get in, go and see the Salon Blanc is famous for being the place where Queen Elizabeth gives her Christmas speeches, and serves as a meeting place for the King and his family before official events. It is graced with elegant English and French furniture covered in yellow fabric, with white walls and sophisticated chandeliers, making it the largest of the 19 state salons.

The palace also hosts events like the Changing of the Guard ceremony, which attracts tourists. Buckingham Palace has its own post office, police station, and cinema. The Queen's Gallery, located within the palace grounds, showcases rotating exhibitions of art from the Royal Collection.

Buckingham Palace is not just a tourist spot; it's vital for British culture and history. The palace symbolizes the essence of British royalty and tradition.  Buckingham Palace has become a must-see for tourists.

The interior tours of Buckingham Palace are only open during the summer. You have to book in advance for best value and to guarantee entry. The price if you book in advance are £32.00 for adult, £20.50 for Young Person (18-24) , £16.00 for Child (5-17) and Disabled. Your summer ticket includes a multimedia guide. Ther is also exclusive Guided Tours during winter and spring but it’s more expensive . It’s £95.00 per person.
