The swinging correspond to the 1960's. It's a euphoric decade in the history of the United Kingdom.

It was a period of optimism and a cultural revolution. There was famous music bands « Beatles, Rolling Stones, Pink Floyd » who are currently still popular.

It was a interesting and difficult period because when the young decide a lot of conflit they where many protest mouvements. They manifested by the culture of hippies in the Woodstock Festival in 1969. It was a cheeky time. It was like a peace full revolution, in fiells as : music, fashion, literature, cinema, art psychedelic.,,,

With the phenomenon of the sixties, we can talk about the notion idea of progress. It's a foward movement, a developement in different type of progress like : technical, scientific, social.

In first i go to present the document page 33 « the tims are changing » then the document page 38 « still a man's world » and the last document it's a movie « Good Morning England »

The first document illustrate the progress of the society after the world war II. It becomes a consumer society with a technological revolution. There was the phenomen of baby boom.

Population keick the economy, culture with drugs, hippy anti-establishmentarianism and the sexual revolution. The availability of the contraceptive pill came to symbolize a new freedom for women.

The law of mode are changing, now the dress are short with warm colours.

The housewives becomes more independants. The document reflect a society more freedom after a difficult period (avec des codes tombés)

The secund document, who represent the work revolution. The problem beging that before the 60's there was huge discrimination in pay between men and woman for equal jobs.

The feminist in those times decided to start a fight not only for there individual reigns but also for something called equal pay act.

In this text, the story is in 1968 in Ford car factory. A woman Rita O grady a sewing machinist decided to walk out in protest againts pay discrimination.

The woman is determined to be considered like the mans.

The last document it's a movie « good morning england ». Movie relate the revolution of rock n roll to broad cast it across the country.

In 1966, the rock explodes around the world, including the United Kingdom. However, the BBC broadcasts less than 45 minutes daily of this new sound. Radio Rock, a pirate radio station, has been broadcasting from a ship sailing in international waters of the North Sea.

The British government is determined to stop them, but these don't let them happen .

When they occupy the antenna with sex, drugs and rock'n'roll, nearly one out of two English listening.
