My intership as a Sales Consultant at Morgan

Description of the company

Morgan is a French clothing brand Created in 1968 by the ABESHERA sisters. They now have 650 retails outlet all around the world. The brand is now owned by the Beaumanoir Group since 2009.

Departments 

The shop was divided into three floors.

The ground floor the one which had the entrance A lot of clothes, the cash desk and few fitting rooms. 

The first floor where we had more clothes and other fitting rooms 

Finally the third floor where was the stock resting rooms and few offices. 

My Superiors 

I had five superiors in total but the most importants were the store manager Anthony and assistant manager Laëtitia who also was my internship supervisor.

Objectives

As a sales consultant my objectives were to pass information about the offers, make people buy as much as possible in order to reach our goals and most important make people happy. 

Observation on the company culture

The most interesting thing that I noticed about this company is that people are really family oriented. They are a big family and everyone was always caring for each other. As an intern all the other sales consultant were constantly helping me in case I was having any trouble with any of my tasks. It was a friendly environment but we also always had to get the job done it was really result oriented because we were always filled up with every informations about the number throughout the day. 

List of responsibilities

My responsibilities depended on my location in the shop.

When I was on the ground floor I had to welcome all clients, let them know about the offers and help them if they needed any size or color of an item by calling the stock. When I was on the second floor I mostly had to take care of the fitting rooms and the people inside but also help the clients.

And When I was in the stock I had to open the deliveries, treat the new clothes : take them out of the plastic bags and put them on the hanger then rearrange them and  place them  in the racks.

 I could also be a back up wish meant to take the clothes from the fitting rooms and get them back in the right aisles. 

Success and failure 

what I see as my success when I was working there is that I once got to 1200€ basket with a foreign client because there isn’t any Morgan in the US.

 My failure was usually a group failure because we couldn’t reach our daily goal sometimes. 

Likes dislikes 

What I liked most about working there is that it’s a really friendly environment. Also making people happy makes me happy at the same time.
