Introduction :

For quick summary, this current video realised by the BBC NEWS in Newcastle speaks about the graduates students in the UK who go to China to work placement in order to get work experience and more skills, to improve the CV and then, to get a job because of the surge in competition on the graduate job market. First of all, the scene takes place in the summer and we learn that there are 300,000 new graduates in the working world for 69 applications per job (every graduate job). So how can you do to stand out ? This is what we will see in my understanding…

I. To have a chance to finding a job among this competition, Joanna Page, graduate in Sheffield University, going to China-Intership. Indeed, She wants to acquire more skills and for her, it’s a report achievement.

To express this opinion, Joanna says that a university degree is not enough to get a job. In fact, she can’t find a job so she going to China.

II. In the second part of the video, we learn thanks to a journalist that China's position helps for job prospects Especially, when students bring back to the UK (at home).

Moreover, lots of companies willing to take on free interns in sale and for example in marketing agencies.

III. As Joanna Page , Joe Grimsdale going to China-Intership. His goal is to gain experience and of course secure a job.

IV. In conclusion, we understand also in the video that today it’s difficult for employers to recruit. We understand better the minds of young people and what  they have to do.

To finish, in spite of the experience gained at the university, graduates students know that China-Interships are very important for secure a job.
