- Hello, we are back on this radio program to talk about a film that we have just seen that particularly interpellated us!

- To say, interpellate, the film named Witness was absolutely interesting to discover.

- That's right! But first, let our listeners know what is based on the synopsis of this film.

- Yes, a young child of an Amish community is witness to a murder. John Book the inspector is responsible for protecting the boy and his mother, Rachel, but injured, he takes refuge with Rachel and participates in the community despite the killers to his research and that of the child who must testify trial.

- Personally, I think it's a good movie but do not remain anchored in my memory.

- Why? Develop your opinion!

- This is a nice movie but not memorable. The film as a whole, shows no surprise, but distract. This gives a personal work, original, soft, but a bit long. That's the main problem of the film, it takes us too late. Witness go quickly in soft scenes of "chitchat" without great interests.

- I don’t agree with you, I found this very interesting film in the way of confronting individuals and opposing cultures. This film is the story of love that is born between the inspector and Rachel Book a beautiful lesson of pacifism and openness to the other. These two characters whose impossible to agree approaches softly while we discover the lifestyle of the Amish with accuracy worthy of a documentary.

- Of course, but if we put aside the fact that Witness speaks of the Amish, we must admit that this film is a banality. The Amish are represented as nice people close to nature, which does not fight, helping each other and live together in joy and good humor. On the other side, we have ripoux cops, not beautiful, wicked, very violent and unscrupulous.

However, I liked the film offers us a far end of the classical happy ending.

- Yes, and that end is a smart move in the sense that I think with as many differences between the characters, Book and Rachel would not have lasted long in a long relationship, and it would have been boring and less impressive, almost silly!

- Yes, and to continue on this social debate, I also think that Samuel, the Amish child will most definitely hold a normal life after the sensational experience he has lived!

- Exactly, but getting back to the end of the film, I found it still very realistic in the sense that one does not end on a stage showing a happy couple, while nice, it would spoil the look realistic, it would be strange to hold a real relationship normally with so many social differences.

- I totally agree with you on that!

And you, tell us what you thought of it, write us, we wait to see what you think!

- Yes, we want full view! Soon, find us quickly on Radio MA!
