English Presentation

My name is Betty Teles, I am a student at Ecoris. I’m currently preparing my High Level Technician high level national diploma to be qualified as an   Assistant Manager. For that, I need to complete an apprenticeship during two years.

I’m actually currently in a garage that is called Garage of Faucigny which is located in Cluses. That  it is specialized in the maintenance, repair and sale of cars. The goal is to find the vehicle problem and repair it but also to satisfy customers looking for new cars. I decided to choose this company because, first of all I enjoy the world of cars, the automotive industry and it’s not far from home.

So, I’m currently doing my apprenticeship work placement  at in  this garage and I find this experience so good to discover the world in which I would probably work. It helps to know if your dream work is really this one. Indeed, I would like to be an assistant manager and maybe a human resources manager. Nowadays, I haven’t discovered this last job, so I focuse my training on  the business of management assistant and this is really interesting.

In the first week, I was given a tour of company to understand the activities and strategies of this one.

In this company I was learning how to carry out those following tasks:

• Make bills write invoices

• Take care of the company’s accounting

• Take care if registration cards

• Welcome customers to through the  phone

• Do repair orders

The qualities needed to handle this position is to be loyal to the company and to be professional as well as pleasant, smiling, patient, reliable, organized and proactive.

I had a very friendly working environment and my colleagues were very supportive and helpful.

Thanks to this, I realized that my idea of this profession was great, it’s an enriching experience. Unfortunately, it was not always perfect, sometimes we  have to deal with  meet nasty customers. But, we have to keep calm.

To conclude, I find this experience useful because I applied the things I could put into practice all the new skills I had learned at school in a real working world setting. It helps me to define my professional project.
