Not only have we made progress in medical and scientific fields but thanks to our engineers, we
have also made great steps in technological one, which implies internet and everything we can
do with it.
So, we are going to see to what extent social networking sites have changed people’s lives.
My first part will deal with social networking sites, a widespread phenomenon. And then, I will
analyze the relationship people have with networking sites.
So, concerning my first part. With the creation or I could also say, with the appearance of
Internet, many social sites have been created so as to entertain people. And that worked quite
well because when something new is launched/comes up on the market, people are eager to
get it.
This is what happened with social networking sites. In class, I studied a document “keys, dates
and figures” which underlines how fascinated people were with those sites.
Many people registered, created profiles but there is one site which overpowered all thee sites;
namely: Facebook. But many others were created and the number of users kept increasing.
Now let’s move on to my second part. If social networking sites have widespread so quickly it is
because they have attracted many users. What I mean with the verb attracted is that more and
more people are addicted to these virtual means of communication because of their specific
attractiveness and also because it is trendy.
Students used to be the first users because they used these sites as a way to keep in touch with
friends and find the perfect match as well. In the document social network users, I have found
out that the elderly and also politicians have started to join the trend. For instance, adults, to
find jobs or get to know people turn to some of these sites. What I would like to add is that
social networking sites have become the best tool for politicians so as to share political ideas. T
The use of social media in politics has dramatically changed the way campaigns are run and how
Americans interact with their elected officials. In other words, they are more accessible to
voters which is rewarding for their images. The doc “social networking sites are revolutionizing
politics” well illustrates what I’ve just said. President Obama even encouraged American people
during a political meeting to log on his Facebook account in order to get to know him better.
