        I’m going to talk about «Idea of progress». To begin with, I’d like to state a definition of progress. Progress is the idea that the world and the society can evolve positively in therms of sciences, technology, modernization, living condition, etc. However, the idea of progress is still debate between those who consider that it’s beneficial and those for whom it’s harmful. Progress implies change and evolution and throughout history most of the advances have been positive. However the rhythm of progress seems to have accelerated over the last few decades and the technological breakthroughs and scientific developments are causing some people to question this progress.         Especially those with the capacity to change the way people work and live, raises important public policy issues about how to ensure broad access to those innovations. Today, technologies are always in our lifes, we have phones, computers, televisions..this technologies help us in the house life with household electrical like washing machine and others. But all that machines cut us of the real life, it takes us away from our close relations. So with all that technologies we can interrogate us on the bad and the good points of this technology. For that we can help us on documents studied in class.

        I. The good point of technologies

A/ The cantity of services from the technology

-> Japan products robots which can helpaging population, they will care of elderly.

-> They develop " safety crawler " to help the police department, they can carry people and they can detect victim's vital signs.

-> In house, machines can help inhabitant if there are many things to do in a period of time, it's allow to do many things more easily.

-> they can replace humans in a lot of sectors like transport, business, war, medicine and in the music too.

B/ The facility of the development of ideas

-> We can use Facebook, Twitter.. to contact other people face to face gracefullness to skype or facetime, share interressant things.

-> We have an access unlimited to videos and photos which we would have never seen with Youtube or Instagram.

-> Allow to cross cultures and developp relationships

-> care sharing, couch surfing, buy a ticket from an event or other...

        II. The bad points

A/ The rapidity of diffusion

-> The song of Placebo " too many friends " deal with the personnal informations which circulate on the social networks and sometimes they can be hurtful for the victim.

-> Facebook can be the place to cyber bullying if something ambiguous appear in the network.

-> The cartoon with the boy surrounded by people using phones, they are make fun of him.

B/ The addiction of connection

-> The Jean Jullien's cartoons denounce the quantity of time what we pass in phones, and the consequences.

-> It denouce the continual innovations of the phones : we always want the new phone, and the companies know it.

-> It jammed our relations with our closes.

-> We don't enjoy the meal, on our phones.
