GAP YEAR

I will talk about the Gap Year.

First of all I will explain you what is a gap year, then I will talk about the advantages and disadvantages I will show the 4 types of volunteering gap year and finally I will you give my opinion.

So a Gap Year is a period of time when students take a break from studying after they have finished school and before they start university. Is a year who you can travel, work or do community service in their own country or abroad.

The Gap year concepts has it’s origin in the U.K since 1990’s

ADVANTAGES:

The Gap Year makes students more mature and responsible. He can a good time to get a foot on the working life you discover and learn new customs; lifestyles, you meet new people and participate to new activities. He also allows students once they return university to apply in real life what they have learned and learn new languages faster. And he can help you to pay your studies and discern exactly what type of work you can do and don’t like but often it can expose you to a whole ranger of career options you never even knew existence.

DISADVANTAGES :

Howewer, one of the major problem is money and the lack of your family and friends can may you feel homesick lonely.

You can also meet difficulties to adapt yourself with the people on the country. ( languages, tradition… ) And he is more difficult to take the study again and keep the rhythm.

4 TYPES OF VOLUNTEERING GAP YEAR

Environmental projets, buildings projets, healthcare projets and the last teaching projets.

Environmental projets : work in a wildlifes sanctuary or animal shelter for rescued animal in ways of disappearance.

Buildings projets : helps people to building vital resources for the community who need it.

Healtcare projets : Cure and helps sick people, you can assits doctors or nursesin in a hospital

Teaching projets : Teaching kinds to speak, read and write.

This four types of volunteering gap year permite to help other peoples all around the world and share amazing moments.

OPINION:

If I had the opportunity to take a gap year before going to university, I think I would go to England, London. All just because my uncles lives downtown and can help me find a job to pay for my studies. I often go since I’m young, so I know the city and I love it. More I could learn the language that will help me throughout my life. After working nine months downtown, I think I would go to the United States with friends for a road trip. I always dreamed of going to the United States because this country has always fascinated me, whether the people there and the wonderful landscape for example the Grand Canyon. I would go for three months to make the most with my friends before going to university. I could use my knowledge assimilated in England and why not later remain in the United States and my education. I would be fluent in English which is very important to me and I could meet lots of new people, new friends, many contacts and can be finally find what I want to do later.
