The new generation was born in a world where technology was (and still is) everywhere. After the digital revolution in the eighties, we started to live with Internet, phones, computers… These two texts entitled "A new country" and "Teens online" taken from India Currents and The San Francisco Gate, raises the crucial question of social networks. These texts develop two different points of view and various arguments about the use of internet among the youth. The purpose is to see whether they are legitimates or maybe to clarify.
The first text falls into three parts. First, it describes how people can keep in touch one with another or meet new people. Then, the author wonders why Facebook is so popular and finally, he worries that people could confuse virtual life and real life. I totally agree with the first part. You can certainly meet people on the internet, create new relationships or just speak with relatives who live far away. But I disagree with the next points. The author is right about the fact that "teens are spending more and more time on social networking", we can see it everywhere, people are continuously on their phone, especially teens. And their parents have no control on it, sometimes they are even overwhelmed by the situation. But the biggest problem is not the time spent on Internet. The author is right about that too, some people feel so secure on Internet that they adopt an "inappropriate behavior online". Which means that they post private pictures of them, their family or even of other persons who did not give their permission. It also means that they insult, attack and make fun of other people. This text is very clear, true and important.
Drawing a conclusion about these documents, we can say that what really matters is the idea of
