Seats and Forms of Power

Power is the ability to control other, events and resources.

In today's modern world the press is the power of the news in our society.

Recently the popularity of internet negatively impacts the pinted press.

We going to see what is the impact of new technologies in the pinted press ?

The press is all means of diffusion of written information, includes especially daily newspapers and periodicals.

A newspaper is a daily or weekly publication containing news on low cost paper. It may be general or special interest.

The press refers to the 4th power on the 5 powers.

The 1st power is executive, 2nd is the juridical power, the 3rd is législative power and the 5th (fifth) power refers to Internet.

To illustrate the notion I have chosen 2 documents. In class we have studied "A Nation of paper readers"

This documents show what the type of newspaper the British readed. The British are great papaer readers.

Traditonnaly British newspaper have been divided in two categories : quality papers and tabloids.

Today with the advent of technology, internet become a threat to the press.

In class we listen an audio who talk about the internet and the press. In this audio the narrator explain the press is killed by internet, radio and Television.

With the presence of internet the newspaper circulation decreased of 25% in the last 5 years, more and more people are reading the news on their smartphone.

As conclusion Internet is a true threat for the pinted press, because with the technology more and more people uses his smartphone for read news and don't buy newspaper anymore.

I think the future of the pinted press look bad.
