IDEA OF PROGRESS

-Nowadays, we live in an era which favours the domination and expansion of new technologies

-technology advances continue to transform the business world. The fallout from these changes is often unexpected. When cellphones began, they offered an alternative to land lines. Decades later, they've replaced cameras for many people and are the primary tool to access the internet

-one of nowadays controversies is technology advances. We can't imagine our lives whithout a mobile phone or a washing machine. However, what about the pace of technology developement, isn't it scary ? Over the last two decades, we have witnessed the creation of GPS devices, fuel-efficient hybrid cars etc... technology indeed has developed at a rate faster than ever. Innovations are a huge advantadge for humanity, but on the other hand, it can be a threat to its consumers

-That's I wondered to what extent is the expansion of new technologies a progress ?

-To answer my question I will lean on three documents : an article about artificial intelligence, a scheme on globalization and an article I chose, entitled « Technological advancement and the effect on the ecosystem » published in The Guardian
