LUSH

Introduction:

Today we would like to talk to you about a company, our company : LUSH.

First we will speak about the story of the company. Then we will talk about our product. And finally we want to make a short summary of the reasons to joins us.

LUSH STORY

In a beauty salon in the small coastal town of Poole, Mark Constantine and Lise Weir met. Helping by four of their friends Mo Constantine, Helen Ambrsen, Liz Bennet and Rowena Bird they created in 1995 Lush, this name evokes the freshness of luxuriant vegetation. They sacrificed all of their savings to buy fresh fruits and vegetables at the Poole market.

The first store outside of its original land opens its doors in 1996, in Vancouver. It was during a trip to England that Canadians Mark and Karen Wolverton discovered a small colorful and fragrant boutique named LUSH. Bewitched by the Lush spirit, they immediately import this concept into North America.

Our company is truly established and attached to its territory so it decided to set up its headquarters in Poole

LUSH NOW

Located in Poole in Great Britain, now Lush represent 850 shops in 51 country for a turnover of 470 millions of euros

We sells a range of natural handmade bath and body products including natural soaps, bath bombs, shampoos, fragrances and specialty products all over the world.

Lush has a "credo", which is not only displayed in all the letters in our stores or on our website but also printed in our D.N.A and shared by all the people working within the company.

  • We believe in making efficient products based on fresh fruits and vegetables, essential oils of the highest quality and safe synthetic ingredients with no ingredients of animal origin.
  • We believe in clearly identifying the ingredients in each product.
  • We believe that it is fair to respect animals, which is why we do not test any of our cosmetics on them and we buy our ingredients only from companies that guarantee us an identical policy.
  • We believe in the values of craftsmanship, so our products are handmade and we create our own perfumes.

To better understand our brand we have selected three products:

[pic 2]

The Godiva: It is a solid shampoo with an exquisite odor that brings nutrition and hydration. It cleans and repair your hair with nut oils and shea butter. This product is very simple to use. It is enough to rub the soap between his hands slightly moist or directly on his hair then you only have to massage your scalp and your lengths.

When we can, we produce solid products to eliminate packaging and preservatives[a]; Almost half of our products are selled "naked[b]". If we have to use packaging, we prefer environmentally packaging.

We pressed our suppliers to buy bottles made of 100% recycled materials to eliminate virgin plastic, reduce the energy consumption associated with the production of containers and divert bottles from landfills.
