Katherine von Drachenber alias Kat Von D was born on 8 March 1982 in Monterrey, Mexico. She moves out at for years in California with her family. She begins to tattoo from 14 years. After not much time, she tattoued for the first time a friend. The most surprising thing is that she did it with a machine manufactured by itself. This shows all its creativity. In 1998, Kat Von D invests completely in tattoos and gets her first job in the environment.

She is talented in its field wich is the tattoos. It is in 2005 that it begins to have an international reputation. She worked for two years in the show « Miami Ink » in Floride. She was sent back and returned in Los Angeles.
