Captain america is a comic'hero, created by jack kirby and by the society : marrvel comico

The caracter appears for the first time in captain america  comics n)1 on december 1940 during the second world war

the name of captain is steve rogers

CA fights  against dictatorship but also against its values.

CA embodies the american patriotism and he is an american icon since the WWR, because he symbolises the victory of america over the nazis.

CA wears the color of america's flag especially on his shield.

Otherwise his shield is indestructible  and CA has exceptional physical strenght.

He's not only a super hero, he is also a super soldier , like a model for many men at this time.CA doesn't have superhuman powers but thanks to the super soldier's serum it was transformed. These physical capacities and strenght have been improved , for example , he runs the 100 meters in 4 second : On the psychological level it's a perfect man.

Engagement et valeurs (commitment and values)

CA derives its succes  not by its originality but by its commitment in the second world war.

CA was created voluntarly as a figure of american  propaganda.

He fights only ennemies embodying ideals contrary to american values like the nazi red skull.

CA is the symbol of invincible america

Thanks to him, america is shown as the defender of the free world

CA was created to support the military troups and the population

ce n'est qu'apres sa diffusion au cinema qu'il est devenu un personnage de divertissement.

conclusion

Since the down of time, society always need myths and heroes because everybody want to trust in miracles.

These persons real or fictional , give faith to a oppressed population wich really needed it.
