        In the common opinion the populations cannot consume without buying. We see that infact, the population consume too much. We call that the over-consumption which is a situation where resource use has outpaced the sustainable capacity of the ecosystem. A prolonged pattern of overconsumption leads to inevitable environmental degradation and the eventual loss of resource bases.

        So some people looks for alternative in the overconsumption for exemple the Fregan who are often seen as part of a wider anti-consumerist ideology, and who often employ a range of alternative living strategies based on limited participation in the conventional economy and minimal consumption of resources. Their is an exemple of Freeganism in Lyon, France who are called the « Gars-Pilleurs » who go to the trash cans of supermarket or the trash cans of Bakery to get back what is recoverable and to share it or to make a collective meal.

But it is possible to consume also by being self-sufficient (to have its own garden, its own animals if we are not vegan).

        For the rest of furniture, clothes or other services it is possible to make directly request to the neighborhood, for example to organised free-market which consists to bring what we don't need any more and to take only the thing we need in return.
