Le Hooliganisme

This population is going to observe a fast and constant fall of its income and is going to sink into the poverty and into the total destitution. A social frustration is born for all the young people of the working class, discouraged by the outbreak of the exploitation and also of the reduction in salaries. The incorporation of this economic poverty and this social frustration is translated by an increase of the violence, the working class wishing to be hear and represented. So they find the way to do that. They foolishly suport the soccer team which represents their district. This individuals are inevitably going to reproduce their social atmosphere during the matches: soccer stadiums represent perfectly the sociological construction of the city where the club supported arises. At first, the hooliganism thus aims to be a phenomenon which affects essentially the working class. But where is it nowadays? Although this socioeconomic status is majority in stadiums, studies were realised on the supporters of soccer and testify of the presence of a social mix. Today, the hooligans are not any more necessarily young lost unemployed persons as wants it the cliché. It is not rare and surprising for the law enforcement to arrest hooligans and, after check, to notice that these work as state employees, as bankers or still as engineers. At present, this social class remains all the same minority, but you should not forget that the stereotype of the young delinquent who is the image of the hooligan does not stay in place any more
