What is advertising? Advertising in business, is a form of marketing communication used to encourage,

persuade, or manipulate an audience to take or continue to take some action. The objective of advertisers isn’t

just to sell us a product; they want to sell us a lifestyle with it. Advertising is everywhere. We are surrounded by

advertisement, we breath it, eat it, feel it, we live it and without even being conscious of it, because it’s in our

homes, schools, streets, clothes, electronique devices etc.... We can’t avoid being struck by nonstop ads that

control our minds. The average viewer is now exposed to 48 TV commercials a day. Our world can’t function

without advertisement, Advertising has been applied in most of fields in society such as economical advertisings,

educational advertisings, and political advertisings, our economique system highly depends on it, so does our

political systems etc.... No matter where we go, since a long time ago a revolution started that will not be stopped

it’s only getting stronger, bigger and more dominant. This is why we can affirm that the power of advertising is

stronger than anything, and nothing can match it, we can achieve anything we want if we have the power of

advertising, one thing that makes it really dangerous if used by the wrong persons for a corrupted cause. It’s

scary and creepy how it works and never fails.

Advertising is an easy way for firms to penetrate our lives, and infiltrate the privacy that every person

holds important to themselves and their family. There is no doubt in my mind that the impact that it has on our

daily live is really important, but somehow we aren’t aware of it, because it’s happening constantly. Advertisers

know exactly what we want and what we need without having direct contact with us, thanks to databrockers that

provide them with our rich data trails, that contains very detailed informations about us, which is very important

to these advertisers because now they can target specifique costumers depending on their interests. So that is

one factor which has led to the big impact that advertising has on the choices we make and the choices that are

available for us to make. It is powerful on attracting consumers psychologically, visually and also culturally. We

can give simple real live examples, like the fact that we would buy any product that our role model or our favorite

celebrity uses on TV or any other media. In addition to that we can talk about the addiction that companies cause

to consumers on their products, through advertisements, just like apple. Every Apple costumer has an urge to

buy every single new product that apple launches, it has become more than a device to them, the little apple logo

is a sort of a lifestyle to them now and when asked why they buy so many Apple products no clear responses was

given, because they do it without thinking, thanks to the power of the Apple advertisement. If this goes on in

the end all the people are going to be puppets, they’re all going to do the same things, and consume the same stuff.

Our lives are being controlled by those advertisers, they give us the illusion
