TYSON FURY
Tyson Luke Fury is a British boxer born in Manchester on August 12, 1988. He is cousin of former world middleweight boxing champion Andy Lee.
Born into a family of Irish travelers, Tyson is said to have a distant relationship with Bartley Gorman, "king of the Gypsies" and champion of Britain and Ireland with clandestine hand-to-hand combat. That’s why his nickname is now “Gipsy King”.
John Fury the father, was a professional boxer in the 1980s and early 1990s. He calls his son Tyson in reference to the world heavyweight champion at the time of his birth, Mike Tyson.
DÉBUT PRO

He fights only once in 2013, on April 20, against former world heavyweight champion Steve Cunningham. The latter is older and much smaller, given loser at 5 against 1 but he manages to put in difficulty his opponent: a hook to the body sends Fury on the ground at the beginning 2nd round. In mid-fight, two judges give Cunningham in the lead, another judge the tie-in. At the 7th pick, a right hook sends Cunningham down for the account.

The same year, a revenge against Dereck Chisora scheduled for summer is postponed until November 29 because of personal problems of Fury. 3 belts are at stake: Britain's champion, EBU European champion, and the WBO international belt.
The contract for the fight against Wladimir Klitschko had a clause imposing a return match in case of victory of the British. In December 2015, while negotiations are underway, the IBF requires the new champion to defend his title against challenger Vyacheslav Glazkov. But Fury decides to decline this fight to focus on the second leg. The IBF therefore withdrew its title after only 1 month of possession for not having defended it.
After several months of negotiations, the return match against Klitschko is announced on April 8, 2016, it is scheduled to Manchester City Fury July 9, 2016. But in June Fury repels the fight by invoking an ankle injury. Shortly after, he is suspected of doping by the British anti-doping agency.
On October 12, 2016, he announces on social networks that he leaves the boxing world at age 28 because of his medical problems, and after being tested positive for cocaine, which he claims to consume "to cure a depression that take it to the bottom of the hole. "
