Le système à Los Angeles

I'm here to present to you a project that is important for me. And to make it real I need your help.

I live in L.A for a long time and I've seen very different districts. They are either poor or rich. But to my mind the most unacceptable thing is the fact that all Angelenos don’t have access to a supermarket !

The city has forbidden fast-foods in poor districts and encourages supermarket chains to establish there.

Despite that, malnutrition is still an issue.

It's why I wish to create a Charity of Mobile Groceries. The aim of this project is to make access to healthy food easier for most disadvantages inhabitants. The Mobile Groceries will go where they are needed the most in Los Angeles.

To begin, I plan to set up in Watts, a fairly poor neighborhood with a large ethnic diversity. Then the other two vans will go to Florence-Graham and Compton.

The objectives of the mobile groceries are:

- equal access to healthy food

- combat inequalities

- create a spirit of solidarity

- give to the less fortunate

- fight against obesity

To turn this project into a reality, I need investments. Overall it would cost about four hundred thousand dollars to buy three electric vans for twenty four hundred thousand dollars, to pay my salary for a year since it will be fully committing to this project. So it would be two thousand three hundred dollars per month and the rest to buy food and kitchen equipment. I won’t need money to hire people because I will choose volunteers.

To be able to make food available for free, I need donations. I am therefore counting on your involvement in the project but also on the solidarity of the inhabitants.
