Theme: The Rights and Duties of the Child in Burkina Faso
Introduction
Ten million children die each year before their fifth birthday, from malnutrition or illness. More than 6 million deaths are attributable to diseases that could have been prevented or easily. Tens of millions more children have physical or mental disabilities because they have been deprived of food and health care that has allowed them to thrive. Many deaths are due to the pernicious effects of poverty, independence, discrimination and violence. Families, communities, the country and the world are in the form of an appalling and irreparable loss. After a very young age, children are not as safe as they are under their lives and well-being. Millions of children are especially vulnerable because their rights are quickly violated.

III. Causes of non-respect of rights and duties
1. Effectiveness of the rights of the child
Article 4 of the International Convention on the Rights of the Child, inter alia, requires member states to implement the rights of the child. Yet, very few countries do not commit significant human rights violations, including children's rights. Indeed, despite the binding nature of international law, many States still only consider the rights of the child as principles of moral value. In addition, for an international text to be applied at the national level, it is necessary to enact laws transposing the rights it states. This system is complex and is not always the priority. Thus, States, even in case of adherence to international conventions, do not always include in their internal jurisdiction the rights of the child for political, religious reasons ...
2-International Justice and the Rights of the Child
The problem remains that at the international level, there is also no authority with the power to condemn and compel states and individuals to respect the rights of the child. Associations and organizations denounce violations, but without judgment or power of constraint, few situations are improved. The sanction of a State remains exceptional and all the more difficult if it is a great economic power
IV. Consequences of non-respect of rights and duties
Burkina Faso is one of the least developed countries in the world. Also, the situation of children's rights is very serious. Despite the presence of a very large number of NGOs and despite recent government efforts in this area, the principles of the Convention on the Rights of the Child are far from guaranteed.
1-poverty
Nearly half of Burkina Faso's population lives below the poverty line. Burkina Faso is one of the least developed countries in the world, and the high unemployment rate aggravates the poverty of the inhabitants. This situation is deplorable for children's lives: malnutrition, work, illness and danger, they must fight daily for their survival.
