After resting at the castle of Hyères the King decides to return to Paris . In the same year Charles I of Ajou buys from the FOS all their property on Hyères and gives them 1500 Provencal Books , 22 towns and villages of Provence , which shows well the impropriety of Hyères in the Middle Ages .

From that date on, Hyères was therefore incorporated into the Daumaine Comptal and the rest until the death of Charles du Main, successor of King Réné, who brought Provence to the kingdom of France in 1481.

The new master of Hyères , Charles d'Anjou , is in history a controversial personality . Some judge him as a tyrant, not supporting any discussion of his orders, very imbued with his authority and the mission which he believed himself invested by God.  For others, he does not seem to have been unfamiliar with any human feeling , affectionate towards his family and gennereux to these faithful. Be that as it may, Hyères and Provence Béneficient, under her domination, of a peace that she had not known since Charlemagne . Charles made Hyères the seat of a very important lookout including the baillages of Toulon , of Brignoles , and extend from the beausset to the Mole , from the islands of Hyères to Carcès .
