Saga Falabella Falabella is part of one of the largest and most established companies in Latin America that conducts business through various business areas. The main ones are the department store, department stores, home improvement and construction, supermarkets, bank, travel and insurance.
The department store is, today, the largest in South America with more than 65,000 employees in Chile, Argentina, Colombia and Peru.

History:
The Falabella Group is one of the most important holdings dedicated to Latin American retail. With a presence in Peru, Chile, Argentina, Colombia, Brazil, and recently Uruguay, it develops mainly formats department stores, supermarkets, shopping for home improvement, also dabbling in the real estate segment through the construction, management and leasing of commercial spaces.
It also participates in other businesses that support its core business: retail financial (Banco Falabella, insurance brokers, CMR) and manufacture of textiles (Tavesa).
1889: Salvatore Falabella opens the first large tailor shop in Chile.
1937: Alberto Solari joins the Company.
1958: Falabella becomes a Departament store.
1980: Falabella launches its own credit card, CMR.
1990: Falabella iniciates the development Shopping centers with the 50% of the ownership of Plaza Vespucio.
1993: First opening in Argentina.
