1) picture : Taxi Balloons
This photograph shows a work of street art made by Rogue in 2013 in Glasgow
An old-fashioned taxi is starting to fly thanks to brightly-coloured balloons in a quite humorous and supernatural way. A man on the left appears to be signalling the taxi
The importance of the contrast makes us guess the artist wanted to surprise and amuse the viewer, to add some poetry to the city. It seems, that the balloons, which could symbolize happiness will all lift us up from darkness

the set of documents focuses on London cabs. They present it in a very positive way. They also deal with travelling and discovering things. Indeed Cabs, as opposed to technologic advances (such as gps, uber or, in the second text, planes) are regarded as the best means of transportation possible.
We could link the theme of travelling to the notion of SPACE AND EXCHANGES. It emphasizes the fact that sometimes the journey is more important than the destination
as the documents deal with the potential conflict between tradition and new technologies, we could also link it to THE IDEA OF PROGRESS : is progress always an improvement ? Should we resist change ?

Two people are on a date, in a romantic restaurant. Yet, they are both using technological devices without talking to each other, so focused on/absorbed in what they are typing. Thanks to the caption, we can assume they have been dating online through on online dating service. The artist seems to be denouncing the impact of social media on our real life and relationships. The couple is so addicted to their screens that they are no longer able to have a real conversation.

Mary Shelley's biopic focuses on two different kinds of progress. On the one hand, first of all, Mary Shelley imagined a character – the monster of Frankenstein – who was a corpse brought alive thanks to electric machines. Scientific progress is thus one key element to the story. On the other hand, the film emphasizes the struggles of a woman to achieve gender equality and become an acknowledged author. Social progress is therefore put forward.

Normal school | Web school | |
Student's attitude | (+) lunch meal together, play basket ball (-) lies and gossips | (+) they have their own rules (-) crossledge, barefoot, not serious and too comfortable |
Parent's opinion | ||
Assets | (+) learn to socialize (work with other students) | (+) fully accredited = helps you get a diploma |
Drawback | (+) teachers help students not to fall behind/drop-out (hard deadlines, pressure nudges from teachers) | (+) no lies and gossips, no pressure, no social anxiety, no deadlines |
On the other hand, the online school, even if they do not seem quite serious, offer positive aspects such as a comfortable atmosphere and the possibility of a diploma
