Task 1
The graphic shows the monthly average temperature changes in the three major cities in a year.
On the whole, the temperatures in London and New York rose continuously from January until July, after which the temperature remained almost unchanged until August, and then the temperature dropped in a balanced manner. However, in Sydney, the temperature has been falling since January and it is known that July reached its lowest point. Then it slowly rose until December, when the temperature was basically the same as in January.
In the first three months of the year, Sydney has the highest temperature, around 25 degrees, followed by London (8 degrees) and New York (5 degrees). Since April, New York has surpassed London with a clear upward trend. In July, temperatures in New York and London reached their peaks of 30 degrees and 24 degrees, respectively. On the contrary, Sydney's temperature reached the bottom, only about 15 degrees. After August, the temperature in New York plummeted. After November, London was warmer than New York, and Sydney became the warmest of the three cities. The temperature is 25 degrees.
As for the annual light hours, New York topped the list with 2,535 hours, followed by Sydney, 2,473 hours. Then it was London, 1180 hours.
In summary, the temperature trends in New York and London are basically the same, while Sydney is the opposite of these two cities.
Task 2
The development of science and modern medicine has enabled people to have a longer life. People are also accustomed to this. However, the extension of lifespan is not just a simple good. With age, health problems follow. When the old people get sick, there are many problems that are highlighted.
In China, the issue of aging has become increasingly prominent. This problem is particularly evident in hospitals. As more and more elderly people have health problems, the patients in the inpatient department are often older people. And these people often take longer to recover themselves, and their illness is generally more serious. The result is a shortage of beds. The old patients needed more time to recover, and there were fewer and fewer beds available, but the number of patients increased. Faced with this situation, many families are helpless.
Another problem is caring for the elderly is a high cost. In China, most of the people are only children. They are responsible for work, family and everything else. In general, a stable working adult tends to be short-ranged, not to mention young people in their 20s who have just started their careers. They do not have time to look after their parents. They can only ask the nursing staff to do it. Laundry and cooking, accompanied by travel, and monthly down is not a small overhead. This virtually increases the economic pressure on these children.
However, the prolongation of life is not only a disadvantage. When the old people are in good health. Longer life is undoubtedly a great thing.
After they retire, they have more time to travel, rest, do what they are interested in, and learn what they yearn for. Suppose a person can live a hundred years old and his body is always healthy. He studied the violin from the age of 60. Then 30 years later, at the age of 90, he might become a musician! The increase in life for these elderly people to create more possibilities gives them more opportunities to a better life.
