WORK PLACEMENT RECAP

1. Why do you have / take a work placement?

This is a ....compulsory......part of my studies; we are required to be trainees

in real companies for 16 weeks to take our final exam.

As part of my two-year commercial course, I had ........... work placements

in ....... different companies.

2. How did you find your work placement(s)?

-I found it on my own. I sent a letter of application and a CV, then I had a job interview and it went well / I got the job.

-A person of my acquaintance helped me get the job

4. What did you do / What tasks did you perform?

I worked as a salesperson / as a rep / as a sales agent

I had to do some canvassing on the phone / to do cold calling

I was in charge of updating the customers’ files.

My task consisted of sending mailings and then doing some quotations / estimates.

I had to do phone follow-ups.

CONCLUSION:

Was it a good experience? Why? Why not? + list the skills you’ve acquired thanks to this experience:

At first, it was difficult to + V, but after a while I got used to + V-ING

In the end, I was able to overcome my difficulties.

On the whole, it was a very beneficial / enriching experience.

Indeed, I learnt many things / I learnt how to + V.

It enabled me to get more confident / to gain self-confidence.

Thanks to this experience, I now know I want to work in a bank / as a financial adviser.
