MY WORK PLACEMENT REPORT

                   I study in care and help to the elderly person or early childhood in a vocational school . This year is my second year in this class.

Last year i got my B-Tech First and this year i working to get my B-Tech National.

To have my qualification and validate skills i must do 4 intership of 4 weeks in during this 2 years.

Last march and in october i was in intership in an old people’s home in Moret so i was there for 8 interships week to position a caregiver.

                This old people’s homes in Moret is named « Résidence Harmonie » and  she having 3 floors,2 lift,a hairdresser, a restaurant, 81 rooms and a minicar all this for 90 patients.

The staff is composed of a director and: -2 secretary

-2 Doctors

-1 psychologist

-1 psychomotrician

-3 nurse

-15 caregiver

-2 host

                  My tutor was Dalila Delingue, she is a caregiver  since 2010 in Résidence Harmonie.

In this work placement i worked from 8:00 AM to 3:30 PM with 10min break mid-mornng and 30min in midday for eat.

                 During my work placement i carried out various task :wash the patients, accompagny patients to the toilet, dress/undress patients,manicure,help a patients to go to bed,help patients to eat, help patients to walk and help them in many other acts of every day life.

               Thanks this experience i know that world of caregiver work in a old people’s home is not what i like because it’s boring and morally complicated but however this work placement allowed me to improve my communication to be less shy and it developped my knowledge .
