My work placement in commerce

MY WORK PLACEMENT : A MARKETING INTITIATIVE

During my school years, I did two workplacements at AZEShoes. AZEShoes was a shoes store, it is at Lyon. My second workplacement took place frome 3 to 30 November 2019. For my bachelor, I have set up a action. My marketing initiative was to develop the sales of snow boots. I made it on November 22nd. The first planned date was the Wednesday 27. But there was a big snowfall so everybody went to buy snow boots, so I advance the date of my marketing initiative.

The clientele for my marketing initiative was the children, as much the girls, as the boys, from 2 years to approximately 8 years, which put between 22 and 28. But also the women and the men.

I displayed on the shelves snow boots for children, on one side the girls, the other one, the boys. I dedicated the other shelve to the men and the women. Then, I set up my end-aisle displays. I was then able to put Christmas decoration, and the posters which I had made. The first presented my action, the other presented the boots availables on the shop.

When a customer bought a pair of boots, I offered a chocolate for the children or for his.

During my marketing initiative, I realized the implementation of products : 2 end aisle-displays and two posters. My action also allowed to sell stocks, and has liven up the store.

To inform the clientele, I put my posters at the cash register, on the shelves and in the entrance.

For my marketing initiative, the sales of the day amounted to 2362€ for the store. My action represented 366€ of the day. My marketing initiative worked because I did many more sales than the fixed objective.

The most sold product for my marketing initiative was a pair of boots for children.

My action especially taught me to be well organized and to improvise.
