Should we revive extinct species ?

        I will introduce the concept of extinct species.  An "extinct species" is a species of organism that can no longer be found in the earth because the environment has not been favorable to its survival.

For example, we can give names of extinct species :

-Long extinct species : Elephas maximus asurus is a elephant that dissapeared in -100 before J-C.

-Recently extinct species : Coregonus alpenae is a fish that dissapeared in 1978 in the USA.

I'm now going to introduce you my plan :

At first, I will state the good points of reviving extinct species.

And secondly, I'll state the bad things of this practice.

        The good point of reviving extinct species are :

-that it would be a huge scientific advance, it could allow to create ressource unavailable to us.

-that it would be a huge technological advance, a big step for genetic engineering.

-that this could allow us to repair our mistakes and recreate an ecosystem that we have damaged.

        The bad things of reviving extinct species are :

-that the created species would be foreign to our current environment becaus conditions on Earth can be changed from their extinctions.

-that humans can incorrectly used this practice by creating an illegal market in order to make money.

-that the created species can bring diseases and viruses in our environment.

-that this practice is not moral and it can proceed unexpected things.

        To conclude, Iwill give my personal opinion :

I remain very divised on this issue because it is very positive if it is well made. But from when it is badly implemented, it can endanger our entire ecosystem including animals, plants, us,...

So I think sincerely that we shoul not want recreated extinct species, at least not now because it is too dangerous.
