Myth and heroes

So i will present you the notion of myth and heroes. First i will define the two quee worlds of this notion. Hero is somebody who inspire us and can be a model for us . Heroes save peoples, they change your life for the better, somebody you want to be liie and who sacrifices his life, they serves the peoples.

- A hero is a person who is admired for their courage, outsanding achievevements, or noble qualities. It can be the main character in a book or a film o a person with superhuman qualities. It can also be a modern- day hero, a person who has performed a heroic act or simply our down rôle model. Examples can be a patriotic or national hero, politician, sportsmans or a fictitiouc hero, an ico or a model (fashion:tv) or unkwnow heroes (war heroes / firemen)

-A myth is a story that may or may not be true. Some myths mayhave started as « true » stories but as people re-told them some parts may have been changed by mistake, or to make thel more interesting. All cultures have myths. Myths is also a traditional story related to the history of people.

So myth and heroes have two faces, two sides one privteside and one public side.To represent his notion i chose to take as hero Gandhi , for me Gandhi is a herro because it enabled India to become an independant state in 1947. Gandhi is very well know for its non-violence since 1858, India was a british colony that is a territory belonging to great britain that means thatthe british exercise their laws over the indians. To show you the heroic personality of gandhi we will first see how he became the person and then what are the values that represent him.

Gandi was born on october 2, 1869 at Porbandar in the northwesr of the britsh empire ofIndia. Hestudies law in london then too shy to plead i India he goes to south africa . Gandhi was affected by the discriminations that wihites peoples did towards peoples like him . He was particulary chocked when they stepped down from a first-class train compartment tp give way to a europeean. He will thm become a defender of indian immigrants and forge an doctrine base on non-violence, sel-control and resoect for the truth. His remarkable wisdom and his struggle will allow him to win the independance of india . He will succed in facinf the british gouvernement of course this was not always easy, he had to go in prison.

Gandhi has many values, he advocate peace, he never uses violence. For exemple, he sometipes went on hunger strike because for him, it is a means f non-violent protest . He is a loyal man because while the british wer fighting Boers, he organized an ambulance service with Indian population to help them. He was a hero because he led campaigns il all countries to reduce poverty, he increased the rights of women, he tried to establish a religious and ethnic harmony between the populations and lessen the injustices of the caste system.

To conclude, Gandhi was often imprisoned for his actions sometimes ever for years but he achieved his goal in 1947 when India gained its independance from Britain. It is called the Mahatma wich means the great soul. Gandhi is therefore one of the greatest defenders of human rights
