Notion Myth and Hero : does a successful man can be a hero?

• I’m going to talk about Myth and Hero.

To introduce it I must explain the meaning of those three keywords :

A myth is a story about someone who has superhuman qualities and in general the story isn’t real.

However a hero is  someone who succeed in something amazing , it’s a model for people who look up at him . He can be real or a superhero in a movie like Batman.

A succesfullman carreer is someone who start from the bottom to the top with hardwork and perseverance, this determination give him some force to climb the ladder of succes .

I want to ask you if a succesfulman career can be a hero ?

• To illustrate the notion I have chosen to talk about Colin Kaepernick and Robin Old.

-  SO Robin Old is a fighter pilot during the second war. When USA win the WW2 he became a war hero  like his father during the WW1 who was his role-model throughout his life . So we can say he succeed by his courage and hardwork but it’s not a successfulman carreer .

However Colin  is a hero for the black community in United States but also for poor people. Colin Kaepernick succeed in US football , he is one of the best quaterback of the history so people like him for that but when he started to show his politics opinions that make some conflicts . He spoke about racism in football, threats and violences against black and coloured people because these people haven’t been heard by the government .  Colin wants to help people , almost each time Trump cut the budget programs which helped people he paid to open again this programs like Meals on Wheels.

His political involvment have had many repercussions on his life, the NFL asked football club to not employ him so today he can’t play anymore. Colin lodges a complaint against the NFL and he has to wait the judgement.  

Colin Kaepernick is the good example because he represents a successful career in us football and a hero. People takes him as a roll-model and believes him. They think he can change things like Martin LutherKing did.

In my opinion, I think Colin Kaepernick is a role-model for everyone who fight racism, we can see his determination and how his concern. But Personally I can’t say that he’s a hero now but he can become one because he didn’t succeed yet  in this racial fight  and I hope he will.
