Los angeles

Los Angles is a second city the most populated of the USA after New York. According to an estimate, there are almost three million nine hundred inhabitants in 2016. Los Angeles also called by the diminutive L.A is an attractive and beautiful city. 

The city was founded the September 4 in 1781 by Felipe de Neve, the governor California Spanish, under the name of “El pueblo de la Reina de Los Angeles” (Queen of angel’s village). Los Angeles means “angel” in Spanish.  Los Angeles was a Spanish city until 1821. After, it belonged to the Mexicans. But I but it was in 1821 that the city became the capital of California. And in 1846, she becomes American.  

Los Angeles is located on the northern state of California on the Pacific coast. The city is west of the mountains "Monts San Gabriel" and South of the Pacific Ocean. So, the Angelinos can ski and go swimming in the same day. Summers are never very hot in this city, but temperatures do not exceed 17 °. Los Angeles is famous for its known neighborhoods. We all know “Beverly Hills”, which is famous for its luxury villas. It's the district where all the stars of cinema and music live. There is too the “Hollywood Boulevard”, that is recognized for its “Walk of Fame”.  

This city welcomed the Olympic Game two times and she will welcome in 2028.  

There is a club of basket-ball; his name is “The Los Angeles Lakers”. The Catholicism is the religion the most practiced.  

In 2017, the Angelinos are 40 % to speak Spanish. For what’s left, the population speaks English. The mayor is Eric Garcetti.
