Lettre de motivation en anglais

My name is Clément Toumire-Algrain, I'm 19 years old. After a scientific bacalaureat, a year of preparatory class in Paris, I have been acepted in art and design school at the ESAD in Reims. Currently in second year specialization Design, I affirm my interests for shape and materials. The choice of this section allows me to understand specific issues and develop my technical skills.

I'm following your work for two years and I would first like to express my greatest respect for your background and your realizations.

I greatly identify myself  in your work and your way of thinking. I read the TEXTBOOK and a multitude of reports and I learned a lot about your way of expressing yourself through fashion. The work that you brought to THE TEN is beautiful and its meaning is even more. It's nice nowadays to see creators make sense of the brands they represent or devote themselves to.

Curious, I am spontaneously attracted by the natural material and the craft, by the gesture, the tools and the know-how. So I made a leather backpack witch is a part of a global approach of research around shoes. Its beginnings are in the shoe itself and more particularly on the functionality and staging of laces and on their participation in the aesthetics of the entire shoe. . These researches are for the moment materialized only through sketches that I submitted to the expertise of professionals to test the feasibility and the coherence. It's to answer that, that I chose to realize this backpack which I consider as a test step in my progress. In this project, I made everything myself, from drawing to patterns, I studied from tutorials on the web some techniques, discovered tools and their handling in self-taught. This first approach to the material strengthens me in my desire to continue my research to one day realize leather shoes and sneakers according to my plans.

If I allow myself to contact you and to talk to you about these projects, it is to realize certain ambitions through the request of internship that I would like to submit by sending you my portfolio. To be able to develop my knowledge and to sharpen my reflection by your help.
