The Battle of Camlann and Mordred

King Arthur lived during the 5th century, in  the middle ages, in Britain.  He Protected Britain against the Saxon invasion.

Name dad : Uther Pandragon

Name Moter : Ygraine

Merlin helped Uther who was in love with Ygraine, he bewitched her and they got married. Yraine hated Uther.

He was taken away by Merlin and raised by sir hector because of  the circumstances of his birth.

He became king when he was 12./ 15

He died in camelot.

 

Britain needed a king. So they had a contest whith the most important knights.

 He who took  the sword out of the stone would become King. Arthur managed to take the sword from the stone because he was destined to become King.

Excalibur is a magic sword associated with the kingdom of Britain. It protected the owner from harm during battle. ( Magical sword and scabbard)

Nobody gave Excalibur to Arthur he found it.

Merlin made sure Arthur got Excalibur.

The Lady of the lake gave him Excalibur.

It's the seat of Arthur's power ( His castle).

It's supposed to be in Cornwall.

The Round table ( 12 knights)

Stands for peace, equality, justice.

Arthur

Mordred ( natural son of Arthur and his half sister Morganna)

Hates his father with a passion.

Traitor to the King

Wanted to become king and fought his father at the battle of Camlann for the throne.

Arthur killed him and was also mortally wounded by his son.

Some say the Lady of the lake took him to Avalon.
