Anglais - Conquest of Space

In the notion of "Space and exchanges", we gonna talk about the space and the exploration of it

.The Umanity discover and wants to discover more and more every day,

With that in mind we can wonder : Why is the space, the next frontier ?

The notion of the American Frontier will be addressed in my first part

, then we gonna talk about the Space Frontier and finally the reasonsto go to space.

According to Frederick jackson Turner, the frontier is "the line of most

rapid and effective Americanisation" here, Turner talks about the conquest of the west during the 19th century .

Here he mentions the Manifest Destiny, represented on the painting of

John Gast called "American Progress" where a godess is giving the technology to teh west or the unknonw with a book called Manifest Destiny.

This is a term term for an attitude

saying that the UUEE are destined to discover and go beyond this frontier.

During this period, the term of Americanisation was born, transforming the wilderness into civilisation. The American exploited new ressources in this

limitless area and established new homes.And once the trip from coast to coast was finnished, the frontier desappered

This is my second part, With all of that, the space was obviously ,to the american, the NEW frontier.

But, they weren't the only ones to lust for Space, during the Cold War, the soviets and the american started what was called a

Space Race. With the lauching of Sputnik, in 1957, the American were spooked and it accelerates the researches of America, making their aim real. In 1969, they

showed their power to the world by going to the Moon, with this mythical sentence "A little step for a men,but a huge step

for mindkind". John Fitzerald Kenedy justified the Interest of the Space for

the EEUU during the Rice Stadium speech. Saying that the space exploration is

the greatest adventure of all time, and that the need of exploration is in the american blood, comparing the Space Frontier to the American frontier,

As my third part, we gonna talk about the reasons to go to space. Firstly, according to the document the Guardian, there are, economic reasons,

indeed there is an econimic rationale, space race is worth it, we can quote the same document saying that "if .... " proving that the moon was

useless compared to what we gonna discover in the future.

Secondly, there are military reasons, proving to the world the supremacy of

those who conquer the space.

Thirdly, the Survival reasons, Earth ins'nt invicible and on a large scale, humanity will be forced to run away Earth where it will be impossible to live on.
