I am going to make a company presentation and my professional experience. System U is a cooperative of French mass distributors chaired by Serge Papin. The co-operative groups Hyper U, Super U, U Express, and Utile. The headquarters are in Rungis (France).The first Hyper is opened in 1983 (nineteen eighty-three). The organization of system U is one national hub and four regional hubs.System U (Utile, U express, Super U, Hyper U) regroups in 2015 (two thousand and fifteen), 1559 (one thousand five hundred and fifty-nine) stores throughout the entire territory of France. Sytem U is the five French alimentary distribution group.
The business unit, i do my training is Hyper U based in commercial zone « Espace Grand Cap » in Agde.
Its status is private limited firm (Socapdis). The size of the company is eight thousand square metres. The annual turnover is 84 (eighty-four) million Euros, they employ 250 (two hundred and fifty) staff in winter and 400 (four hundred) staff in summer.
It installed on premises of 11,000 (eleven thousand ) hectares, with a 8,000 (eight thousand) square metres surface, on the edge of the D612 (six hundred and twelve ) strategic location (wich starts in Cap d’Agde until Béziers)
Hyper U built its activity on the flow of seasonal customers.
The slogan of Hyper U is : Trade that benefits people everywhere and the corporate citizen values are : The low prices, the social link with associates, the products quality and the clients satisfaction. The means of public access are on foot, by car, by bike and by three bus lines.
In my company, three ranges of products are sold : - the national brands which are more expensive
- the store brand products (U) which are more affordable
- the “first price” or “no frills” (Bien vu) which are the cheapest
Hyper U is in competition with : Liddl,Dia ,Netto,Intermarché,Auchan, Super U and Carrefour market.
In the competition zone Hyper U Agde has a leading position of the zone twenty-four point 6 percent.
Hyper U proposes several facilities: vehicle leasing, « Courses U », service station, ticketing show.
In the future prospects the opening drive with bounds, expansion of the firm, expansion the shopping arcade and the opening location shop U.
For my professional experience, I have worked for four years in this company. I was in the fruit and vegetables range.
For my training in MUC, I switched to the range grocery as a manager deputy.
During my internship, my tutor encouraged me to take responsibilities.
This internship will elapse in the October 2015 (two thousand fifteen)/August 2017 (two thousand seventeen).
During my internship, I have had six missions :
-sell, ensure the customer service quality, set up an attractive and functional commercial space, boost products and service offer And two computing missions.
Until now, as I didn’t have a specific department, I change, i make sure that the promotion, the tagging is right. I am replacing the people who are absent. I am in charge of dealing with the breakage, use the processing tool, meet the suppliers, replace the manager when he is not here and i answer the phone. I place orders, organize the future promotions, take part in meetings and team work. I am the link between the hierarchy and the employees during his absence.
The organization chart of Hyper U made of one chief executive officer, two managing directors, nine department head, the department managers and assistant manager.
My day-release vocational training has allowed to acquire the necessary capacities to be a manager of range.
My day-release vocational training also allowed me to acquire the skills, the versatility, the dynamism, the autonomy and the values of the firm.
Within my department, there are ten employees, the atmosphere is good, everyone is concentrated on his range. I managed to integrate.
After all, my experience of four years at the fruit and vegetables was reset zero because the organization, the methods and the expectations are completely different.
For me, it’s a challenge that motivates me to become manager
In conclusion , it was a rewarding experience and it has confirmed my orientation
I was rewarding because i benefited from this experience.
