Why did the attacks of 9/11 change the world?
The facts:
On the morning of Tuesday, September 11, 2001, 2 planes hit the Twin Towers in central New York City, killing all of the plane's passengers and leaving 2977 dead. 1 other plane was thrown on the pantagon in Manhattan and the last one, crashed without touching anything.
In all,19 terrorists hijacked the 4 planes, and the attack was claimed by the Al Qaeda jihadist network.
Few Minutes after the incident, the twin towers collapsed and the pantagon caught fire, which remains the greatest tragedy in the history of the United States.
The gigantic dust clouds created by the destruction caused the greatest panic in New York City.
The terrorist who organized the attack was under the orders of Oussama Ben Laden, the goal being to make as many victims as possible.
How did the United States react?:
George Bush was the president of the United States in 2001, so it was he who made the first speech on the night of the attack. He declared that the United States was a strong country and that the nation should not be afraid.
Bush Lauched Military operations to find and kill terrorists linked to the attack, the terrorists guilty of organizing the attack were found around the world and Osama Bin Ladden was killed in 2011.
Security measures have also been taken by the U.S. government to ensure that this type of attack never happens again.
Finally, a plan to rebuild the world trade center and the wing of the pantagon was rebuilt shortly after the attack.
What were the impacts on the USA and the world?:
This attack changed the world. September 11th is the worst human tragedy of the 21st century, years later, the fallout remains enormous and this event remains in the memories of all those who lived it live.
Beyond the emotional repercussions, the atentat has had repercussions on the US economy, but above all on security and internationals relations.
