For Dr Dre his previous experience with the labels help him to avoid some mistakes even if the two business are not in the same industry.

Here I want to discuss about one matter that came to me during this essay.

Do we still need diploma in order to success in Business especially in entrepreneurship?

This is my personal point view.

On the one hand, since we’re kids, our relatives, teachers keeps telling us that “if you want to success (succeed) in life you have to get your diplomas”. It’s the truth I can’t deny that diplomas are the best shield against unemployment. Though, we are learning code of the society and how to fit in this society. Diplomas mean that you master skills in an area and they embody a level of knowledge, for HR directors for instance, this is a gage of safety. During all the schooling process we learn how to conduct a business, how to manage the plant, do the finance with the theory.  Some people are more attracted than others.

On the other hand, it’s true that successful entrepreneur of today went to famous school like Harvard, MIT etc.… but there are others entrepreneurs in that landscape that succeeded too without even being graduated from college. I’m going to take another entrepreneur similar to Dr Dre: its puff daddy. This man is worth 900 million today and he gave up college after 2 years. There are 100 stories like that. Here, my point is that these entrepreneurs went directly on the field, they learned everything from scratch. In school, if you make a mistake its okay there are no consequences, but for most entrepreneur their “life” was at stake they had to succeed and I think this is the one of the most powerful motivation. Theory is good but for entrepreneurship, going on the field, get dirty, and learn is the best thing if you want to succeed no matter the number of diplomas you have.

Thus, diplomas is not directly linked to the entrepreneurship spirit. This entrepreneur spirit is an achievement that you unlock through a long process of experience, mistakes, greatness and diplomas can be for sure an asset for this spirit.
