The tell-tale heart

Write an organized paragraph that answers the questions above.

First of all, the story is written in the first-person singular with the narrator is the main characters. He tells the story of what happened. In the story, there are the narrator and the old man, they are boon companions, good friends and they lived in the same place. The narrator doesn’t hate the old man, of course he liked him, the man was his friend and he never hurt him. They were close. But the narrator was obsessed by his eye, which disturbed him. Indeed, the narrator is weird, he isn’t reliable because during a week, he was kind, friendly, warm, and loving to the old man as he knew he had to kill him, more precisely his eye. The narrator is sick, he has a mental disease, and he stalks his old friend each night, he has a mental disease. The narrator is also mad.

        Then, the old man’s eye represents fear for the narrator, it’s like a vulture’s eye, with a killed look. Every time, he looks at it, he feels a cold sensation throughout his body, he shivers and bloodcurdling, so he wants to close his eye forever as he is shake and uncomfortable.

        After, we can see at the end of the story a growing agitation of the narrator. Furthermore, once the old man died, the police arrived and ask the narrator. At first, he was confident and then suddenly he started to have a headache and a heard dull and loud noise in his ears and his head. The louder the sound, more he was mad and hysterical, he stands up and went around in cercles. Madness took hold of him, and he understood that the policeman had known that he is a murderer of the old man. To finish, the sound that invaded him was a heartbeat that symbolize the old man’s heart, especially his famous eye.
